Belief is the keynote of religious conviction, and beliefs vary greatly among the different religions of the world. Psychologically speaking, what we believe forms our attitudes, shapes our lives, defines our culture and molds our destiny. To choose our beliefs is to choose our religion. Compare your beliefs to the beliefs of Sanatana Dharma. If you find yourself at home with Hindu beliefs, the attitudes they produce and the culture that is lived by a billion-plus souls, then obviously you are a Hindu. It is that easy.

"Now the duties of a woman (are as follows): To live in harmony with her husband; To show reverence (by embracing their feet and such-like attentions) to her mother-in-law, father-in-law, to Gurus (such as elders), to divinities, and to guests;

To keep household articles (such as the winnowing basket and the rest) in good array;

To maintain saving habits;

To be careful with her (pestle and mortar and other) domestic utensils;

Not to practise incantations with roots (or other kinds of witchcraft);

To observe auspicious customs;

Not to decorate herself with ornaments (or to partake of amusements) while her husband is absent from home;

Not to resort to the houses of strangers (during the absence of her husband);

Not to act by herself in any matter;

To remain subject, in her infancy, to her father; in her youth, to her husband; and in her old age, to her sons. After the death of her husband, to preserve her chastity, or to ascend the pile after him.

No sacrifice, no penance (vow), and no fasting is allowed to women apart from their husbands; to pay obedience to her lord is the only means for a woman to obtain bliss in heaven. A woman who (apart from her master) keeps a fast or performs a penance (vow) in the lifetime of her lord, deprives her husband of his life, and will go to hell.

A good wife, who perseveres in a chaste life after the death of her lord, will go to heaven like (perpetual) students, even though she has no son."

 Ja, jag längtar verkligen tills jag och älsklingen kan åka iväg till Indien..

Beställde bindis på Tradera i söndags. Ska bli kul att se om det går bra att köpa grejer därifrån. Så man kan ju hoppas att det kommer lite post idag =P 

Ju mer vi närmar oss fredagen, ju mer längtar jag. Tack älskling för att du vill fira detta med mig. Du anar inte hur mycket det betyder för mig.

Igår var jag i stan och köpte två klänningar till firandet. Presenterna är inslagna, nu är det bara korten kvar.

Idag har jag städat, dammat och dammsugit. Får fortsätta imorgon också men då kommer jag nog inte hinna med så mycket för jag ska träffa mamma och så ska jag till arbetsförmedlingen. Å andra sidan lär jag ju ha nästan hela kvällen på mig. Det beror på när älsklingens familj kommer och hälsar på. Dom skulle göra det denna veckan. Får se hur det blir =P  

Ja, idag börjar jag med dom stora förberedelserna inför diwali firandet. Ska börja städa och planera hur allt ska stå. Var och köpte glitter igår, och ljus och nya dukar och presenter till familjerna.
